I, Robert Kenefeck ,Tailor & Cutter of London do hereby agree to enter the service of Wm Stokeld & Co Tailors & Cutters of Calcutta as Foreman & Cutter on the terms & conditions contained in a letter of the said Wm S. & Co & now in my possession dated 4^th March ’53.

I promise faithfully during the five years the term which I intend to serve Wm. S & Co to discharge to the best of my ability all the duties appertaining & belonging to the situation of Foreman & Cutter at a salary of £10 per month together with board & lodging & not to absent myself at any time from the said services without the express permission of the said Wm.S & Co ??? & obtained.
